Training on 'Strengthening maternal nutrition services in antenatal care' held
One day training on "Strengthening maternal nutrition services in antenatal care" to implement 'Visiting dietitian model on Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matritva Abhiyan (PMSMA) Day' was held on December 6th, 2019 at Lady Irwin college. The trained dietitians visited healthcare facilities on PMSMA Day i.e. December 9th.
One day training on "Strengthening maternal nutrition services in antenatal care" to implement 'Visiting dietitian model on Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matritva Abhiyan (PMSMA) Day' was held on December 6th, 2019 at Lady Irwin college. The trained dietitians visited healthcare facilities on PMSMA Day i.e. December 9th. The training held for Volunteer dietitians had following agenda :
1. To understand the technical algorithm (5 actions for maternal nutrition services in routine antenatal care OPD)
2. Skill Up-gradation on Anthropometry and Clinical signs and symptoms
3. Gain understanding on counseling
4. To clarify issues for common understanding
The sessions addressed a brief introduction & status of maternal nutrition in India, Technical and Operational protocol: Maternal nutrition ANC package for Facility and Community (VHSND) Level and hands-on training on anthropometry and counseling.
