Two-day National level training at Patna Medical College
NCEARD supported in conducting a two-day national level training organized at Patna Medical College, Bihar. The training sessions were inclusive of orientation of the technical algorithm, anthropometry and blood pressure measurement, and assessment of clinical signs, data entry, analysis and reporting, counselling and measurement techniques of biochemical parameters.
Three resource persons from NCEARD supported a two-day national level training on ‘Strengthening maternal nutrition services in antenatal care (health facilities, PMSMA, VHSND)’ organized at Patna Medical College, Patna, Bihar. The training was attended by a total of 30 ASHA workers and IYCF counsellors who came from various districts of Bihar, such as, Purnea, Darbhanga, Gaya, Motihari etc.
The training was provided through presentations, demonstration, and practice clinics. Sessions were inclusive of orientation of the protocol, technical algorithm, anthropometry and blood pressure measurement, and assessment of clinical signs, data entry (register/screening format/CSPro), analysis and reporting, operational protocol, counselling, measurement techniques of biochemical parameters, monitoring and evaluation.
The link of the entire maternal nutrition package was shared with collaborating partners, UNICEF and MoHFW.
