Two-day State level training at NIN
Two day state level training conducted for pretesting the maternal nutrition package at National Institute of Nutrition (NIN), Telangana. Resource persons from NCEARD supported the training of programme managers, faculty of NIN, Yenepoya Medical college, Mangalore, health workers and other research personnel along with UNICEF.
Identification of prospective master trainers from the first batch was also done for further trainings. The training was provided through presentations, demonstration, role-play and practice clinics. Sessions were inclusive of orientation of the protocol, technical algorithm, anthropometry and blood pressure measurement, assessment of clinical signs, data entry (register/screening format/CSPro), analysis and reporting, operational protocol, counselling, measurement techniques of biochemical parameters, monitoring and evaluation.
The entire package in hardcopy will be provided to the health workers and research staff by the respective organisations to help initiate pretesting at their field sites.
